Raindrop Foundation celebrated Nevruz 2013 with Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan communities
IMG_5129People gathered for the purpose of celebrating "Nevruz" on Sunday, March 31, 2013. Nevruz is a spring celebration observed widely by the Turkic peoples living in a wide territory that includes East and Central Asia, Siberia, the Caucasus, Crimea, Anatolia and the Balkans. . Nevruz generally falls around March 21, corresponding to the vernal equinox, when the day and night are of equal length. Nevruz is an official holiday in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, and a public holiday in Turkey.
Attendants from Turkish, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan communities enjoyed a sunny and refreshing day together with friends and families. Kids had the opportunity to spend some cheerful time with friends while all participants had a chance to relax and chat on different issues away from stress.
