Turkish Cuisine Class was held on Friday, March 2013

RDF_Cooking_Class_March_1_2013_9Ladies cooking class was taken on Friday, March 1st, 2013 in Memphis TN. This week, the attendees learned how to cook the traditional menu from Turkmenistan, which is located in Middle-Asia. So, the menu was including Turkmen Pilaf (rice), Rainbow Salad and Grated Pie as a desert. Participants enjoyed dinner altogather after class and had a good conversation. The next class will be on Friday, March 15th, 2013 at 6:00 pm. We thank all attendees for joining us.

Coffee Night dedicated to International Wonem`s Day

Turkish_Coffee_Night_1Raindrop Turkish House in Memphis held its next Ladies Coffee Night  which was dedicated to International Women`s Day. Mrs. Ozge Uygur Kovarik welcomed attendees and gave a small brief about Raindrop Turkish House. Thereafter Dr. Esra Ozdenerol Garner  who is Associate Professor at University of Memphis exhibit her presentation about "International Women`s Day" A PROMISE IS A PROMISE: TIME FOR ACTION TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN. Following the presentation Turkish coffee was served.  Meanwhile everyone enjoyed to have funny games and gifts. The event ended with wonderful conversation between ladies. We thank all attendees for joining us.

Mississippi Tornado Victims Need Our Help!

Federal Government has declared a major disaster in the State of Mississippi following a massive tornado that destroyed or heavily damaged more than 800 homes in the southern part of the state.

Ladies Cooking Classes in Memphis, TN
RDF_Turkish_Cuisine_Class_4Raindrop Women Association organized next Turkish Cuisine Class on Friday, February 15th, 2013 in Memphis, TN. This class they cooked traditional Karniyarik (stuffed eggplant), Pilav (rice) and two colored cakes. After class attendees tasted those food and dessert. They did not only enhance their knowledge about the Turkish food but also had good relations with each other and made friends.

Ladies Coffee Night at Raindrop Turkish House in Memphis


Raindrop Turkish House Memphis held its Ladies Coffee Night on Saturday, January 26 at 05:00 pm. Mrs.Ozgenc Kocak welcomed everyone with warm greetings and gave a brief presentation about Raindrop Turkish House. Then a main topic of night "Love" was introduced. The event continued with having Turkish food, coffee and game. After tasting an authentic food and dessert all attendies performed a great dance. We thank all our companies for joinung us.
