Raindrop Turkish House participated to the biggest international event in College Station, Brazos Valley Worldfest. The mission of Brazos Valley Worldfest is to promote and celebrate the international diversity and the heritage of the Brazos Valley. While some people were watching the performance on the stage, others were walking around the cultural displays and exhibits.

Annual Brazos Valley Worldfest was held in Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater. The Festival, aiming to introduce cultures of different parts of the world to the Brazos Valley residents, was visited by a large number of people. Raindrop Turkish House and Turkish Student Association of Texas A&M University co-participated with cultural displays to introduce Turkey to in the Brazos Valley. Our volunteers answered various questions from the visitors regarding Turkey and Turkish culture and helped them to discover Turkey more.

One of the items that attracted the most attention from visitors was maps displaying Historical sites of Turkey. Most people seemed to be surprised by the number and the variety of the historical and cultural sites in Turkey.

Baki, Ebru art expert, demonstrated Ebru art, traditional water marbling art of Turkey. He amazed visitors by painting the pattern on the water and transferring that onto a paper. It was like magic! Some visitors had a chance to work on their own paintings.

Various activities of Raindrop Turkish House were also introduced to the visitors of the Fest. Especially Turkish Language Classes and Ladies' Coffee Night drew a lot of attention.

Raindrop Turkish House served traditional tea and Turkish coffee with an amazing, traditional desert, baklawa.

Along with other countries, this was a great opportunity to introduce Turkish culture to Americans and people from other nations. Also, they could shop in our gift store while learning about Turkey.
