Dialogue: East and West Turkey
dr._joe_martinez_.jpgDr. Joe Martinez TSA (EPCC) in El Paso organized Dialog between East and West, a panel discussion like program with the cooperation of Raindrop Turkish House on 11/9/2010 9:00 AM at ASC Building A, Boardroom,El Paso, TX. There were more than 100 participitants such as Prof.., people from some media groups, professors and religious leaders. The one of speaker introduced Turkey and we as individuals can promote peace in the world. Dr. Heyman talked about how anthropological concepts can help to promote intercultural dialog. The event is ended with the question answer session and closing remarks.
Orientation for Prospective Turkey Trip Participants

Turkey_trip_presentation_a2011An orientation program was held at Raindrop Turkish House for guests planning to participate to the Turkish Summer Class in Turkey and Turkey Trip this summer. Following a delicious dinner of Turkish cuisine, Director of Raindrop and Raindrop members  volunteers  informed our guests about the upcoming trip with a visual presentation and answered their questions. After the presentation, past trip participants shared their experiences with the prospective travelers, emphasizing on the positive impression that the trip made, especially in terms of the intercultural dialog. At the end of the program, everyone was glad to be going to Turkey this summer and already started trying to schedule a common time period for the trip.
